Tips3:    Booking Hotels

If you book the hotels online or through agency, please pay more attention to the location on the introduction of the hotel. Some of them would claim that they are near both Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and the Canton Fair venue, or near both Pazhou and Liuhua venue, which are not true.
You can check on the map by yourself: (map of Guangzhou metro)
The airport is in the north of Guangzhou, in Huadu district. Liuhua venue is in the city center, while Pazhou venue is in the southeast of Guangzhou. So it’s impossible that there is a hotel close to all the locations mentioned above.

Tips4:    Transport in Guangzhou

If you don’t mind to take metro or bus in when traveling in Guangzhou, it’s better to buy a Yang Cheng Tong, a contactless rechargeable stored value smartcard designed for paying the travel fares in the metro, buses, taxis and ferries in Guangzhou, as well as surrounding prefecture-level cities, namely Foshan, Huadu, Zengcheng and Panyu. Since the traffic in Guangzhou is busy esp. during Canton Fair, in the metro station you have to wait in a long queue to buy the ticket, which would take you even 15—30 minutes to get the ticket. It will be more convenient for you with Yang Cheng Tong to travel by metro or bus.
You can buy the card in the metro station, banks and post offices with the Yang Cheng Tong service spot, and 7-Eleven stores, etc.
